Congratulations to John Springmann who won the first place award in the 21st Frank Redd Student Paper Competition at the Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah. John’s paper and presentation, On-Orbit Calibration of Photodiodes for Attitude Determination, was selected best by a field of judges from industry, academia, and government. This is John’s second win, a first for MXL! Speculation looms on his plans for use of the funding, however, he will be attending the 4S Conference in Majorca, Spain next spring to present this work!
