GRIFEX Launch – T minus 8 days!

The next MXL satellite, GRIFEX, is integrated to a Delta II rocket, ready for launch next week on 29 January 2015.  The GRIFEX CubeSat mission will perform engineering assessments of a JPL-developed all digital focal plane array read-out integrated circuit (ROIC). This high frame rate imaging technology is an essential component for a future planned atmospheric chemistry and pollution transport mission concept from the Earth science decadal survey called GEO-CAPE. This technology flight validation project was sponsored by NASA’s Earth Science Technology Office.
